I Don't Even Know The Term For This!

Seriously. If anyone can come up with a term for this sort of idiocy, I'd love to hear it.

Let me tell you a story about a group on Facebook called Hate Watch. For the last few days, there has been an ongoing saga that I'm seriously considering adapting into my next Script Frenzy script, once my ZRA TV pilot is done. This group, Hate Watch, is the most frustrating experience one could have on Facebook. It claims to be a page dedicated to fighting hate on FB. The problem is, most of the pages it urges its members to report are legitimate pro-LGBT pages. Perhaps feeling the pressure, they've branched out into "supporting" LGBT pages

And the admin is...well, they're a bit of a jerk. When several members of other LGBT sites ganged up on them and demanded that they provide proof that these sites are "pro-hate", he flat-out refused to answer, dodging the question, claiming that he "didn't have to prove it to anyone but himself", and eventually mocking and insulting the people demanding answers. They're also known to delete wall posts that they don't agree with and claim that they were never there in the first place. When someone provides a screen cap proving they were? More insults. Whoever this is, I wouldn't be surprised if it's a fifteen-year-old child.

And it doesn't end there. The admin of a page that I am a member of got on this dude/chick's bad side, and ever since then, they have been harassing the ever-loving crap out of him, up to and including making an exact duplicate of friend-admin's page. Several of us called them on it, and they spent the entire time denying it and feigning ignorance, as well as deleting any posts that they couldn't play the sympathy card on. I speak from experience: I posted a perfectly calm, friendly wish that this vendetta come to an end, that life is too short to waste on a petty Facebook war. A few minutes later, the post was gone. Along with every post that was calm and respectful.

You can tell it's the same person. They use the exact wording, the exact methods of feigning ignorance at first and then resorting to the same insults when they get frustrated, the exact method of deleting posts they don't like...

And, of course, we're talking about Facebook, which means it could be any amount of time before someone actually deals with this crap. Oh, Facebook.
