The Blurr Odyssey Comes To An End

I now own Generations Blurr, bought from a mass retailer, for the normal retail price.

I tend to think that taking a long time to get a Transformers figure only seems so bad because I am a terribly impatient person. But I feel this particular one warrants a legitimate YAY I GOT IT post. As far as I'm aware, Blurr was supposed to be out in Canada sometime in November 2010. I watched the sightings thread, did random trips to Toys R Us and Wal-Mart, but the dude never showed up. In fact, I was buying figures from waves after his, with absolutely no sign of him. Calgary can be like a black hole for Transformers, especially in the weeks/months after Christmas.

This finally came to an end on Saturday. I had just gotten back from the World of Wheels vintage car show - where, strangely enough, I managed to find a Reveal The Shield Perceptor - and decided to go by the Market Mall TRU on my way home.

And there he is. Hanging on a peg right in front of me. The problem is...I don't know if I have the money for him. So, for the first time as a collector, I go and hide him behind some other toys and make a mad dash to the nearest bank machine. Then a mad dash back to the TRU. Shove aside the other toys and he's still there. I don't know why I thought that he would disappear in the two minutes it took, but I'm silly paranoid like that.

But the odyssey has come to an end. Generations Blurr is in my hands. Now, to sit back and wait for the rest of Reveal the Shield to start coming out.
